Are you going through a challenging time in your life? Feel like your world is on fire and you’re lost in chaos? I’ve been there too. But let me tell you, in those moments, turning to God and embracing your RESET can make all the difference.
At the end of August this year, I found myself in the midst of the most challenging period of my life. As a Christian, I knew that seeking solace in my faith was the only way forward. In life there will be times in each of our lives where we will be tested, although I had never been in such a place before, the pain and discomfort drew me closer to God in a deeper way. Life has a way of testing us all, sometimes placing us in the fiery furnace and at other times, sparing us from its flames. You may be feeling unsettled and lacking security but I challenge you to embrace your RESET. Allow God to show you the new thing he’s doing for you and with you. As Christians we have the assurance that Jesus has already overcome the world But in the face of disruption it’s can be difficult for us to trust and believe, so that is why it’s important to remember these three things in times of trials.
First thing to remember is God is always with you through every trial.
The Bible assures us that God is with us through every trial, and we should hold on to that promise. Isaiah 43:2 reminds us, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” No matter how difficult the trial may be, we can cling to the truth that God is with us every step of the way, providing us with the strength to overcome. God already knew the battles you would face and he’s using them to push you into who he needs you to become. Remember he knows just the right amount of pressure to move you into position.
Second thing is that trials are meant to shape and mold us
Trials should not be viewed as punishment, but rather as a refining process that is meant to shape and mold us into who God wants us to be. James 1:2-4 teaches us, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” God uses our trials to transform us and make us more like Him, so we can trust in His plans for us. God uses every challenge to transform and make us more of who God needs us to become. So, embrace the pain and learn to thrive in the darkness, knowing that something marvelous is emerging.
And lastly Your faith in God will be rewarded
When we face trials, it’s important to keep the end in sight and trust that our faith in God will be rewarded. Romans 8:18 assures us, “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.” When we persevere through trials and remain faithful to God, we will be rewarded with eternal life and the joy of living in His presence forever. Remember God is a rewarded to those who diligently seek him.
So friends in times of trials, remember to trust in God, seek to understand the purpose behind the trials, and keep your eyes on the ultimate reward. By leaning on biblical truths, you’ll find the strength, courage, and hope to overcome any adversity and grow in your faith. Remember that God wastes nothing.
